Here we will show you how to quickly and easily set up your email address in Microsoft Outlook 2021. These settings are directly applicable to our valued customers who use 10GB & 25GB business emails.
If you are using a 50GB Exchange Email, these settings will not work. Please refer to this post.

Visual Steps

There’s no need to be ‘tech savvy’ to connect your email to Outlook. If you have no experience, or you are a visual learner. Click on the pictures to the right to see the easy step-by-step visual guide.

Older versions of office might look slightly different, but the principle and steps taken are the same. Who knew it was this easy right?!

Here’s how to setup emails in Outlook:

Step 1:

Open Outlook

Click on the Start button to bring up the start menu, and start typing to search for “Outlook”. Then click on it to open Outlook.

Step 2:

File > Account Settings > New

In the top left corner, click on File. This will bring up the Account Information page. Click on the dropdown for Account Settings and choose Account Settings.
A new window will pop up. Right below the ’email’ tab, click on the New button.

Step 3:

Manual Email Setup

Enter the email address that you wish to add to Outlook.
Next click on the dropdown for Advanced options and make sure that the checkbox is ticked for Let me set up my account manually.
Click on the large Connect button and choose the IMAP option.

Step 4:

IMAP Email Setup

Enter the following values and click on Next.
Require SPAChecked
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings
Require SPAChecked
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Settings

Step 5:

Enter Password

Lastly enter your current email password and click connect.

Congratulations! Your email is now connected!

You can now send and receive emails through Outlook on this device.

If you have just added this email address to a new/different device and it already contains emails, it may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to synchronize all the existing emails to the new device. Please keep your device on during this time, otherwise it will continue synchronizing when Outlook is running again.

Your existing folder structure will be transferred with all the relevant emails populating the folders. The time this takes is dependent on your internet speed and the total size of the download.


Receiving an error?

If you are getting an error stating that an encrypted connection to the server is not available, you may be connected to an insecure network. Please try again by replacing the values in Step 4 with the following and continue to Step 5. We highly recommend using a secure network for your email communications.
